The Trabocchi: the ancient fishing machines built on stilts
Gabriele D’Annunzio called them “The Colossal Spiders.” In his Work “The Triumph of Death,” he described the Trabocchi as “machines that seemed to live a life of their own.”
The Trabocchi Coast is characterized by the widespread presence of Trabocchi.
This stretch of sea is one of the most beautiful and least known in Italy. With our boats we will make you experience a fantastic day sailing all along the coast until we reach the Punta Aderci Nature Reserve, where we will stop for lunch/dinner and a swim at the beautiful Punta Penna or Motta Grossa beach.
During the navigation we will also pass under the Punta Penna Lighthouse, which at 70 meters, is the tallest lighthouse in Italy after the Lantern in Genoa.
