THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES AND CAVES OF THE GARGANO<\/strong><\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Gargano<\/strong> promontory<\/span> , known as the<\/span> “Sperone d’Italia”,<\/strong> it is located in Puglia in the northern part of the province of Foggia. It is an area that offers white beaches and crystal clear sea, as well as a typical cuisine made up of tasty recipes and characteristic villages.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ideal way to get to know this promontory is a boat holiday, both to admire the natural landscape made up of rocky coasts and Mediterranean scrub, and to visit the marvelous Sea Caves<\/strong> that have been formed over the years thanks to the erosion of the limestone rock by the sea.<\/p>\n

RHODES GARGANICO<\/strong><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Navigating along the Garganica coast, you first meet the mouths of the coastal lakes of Lesina and Varano and immediately after the town of<\/span> Rodi Garganico<\/strong> , a village full of narrow streets and houses overlooking the sea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The city is located between two sandy beaches, the Levante<\/strong> beach and the Ponente<\/strong> beach<\/strong> . The latter is exposed to the north winds and is perfect for surf lovers, while the Levante beach sheltered from the mistral winds is characterized by fine golden sand. Thanks to the shallow waters, the services and activities dedicated to children, the beaches of Rodi Garganico have received the Green Flag.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Continuing the navigation we find<\/span> Peschici,<\/strong> an ancient village protected by walls of just 4000 inhabitants, surrounded by beautiful beaches. Among the symbols of the city there is the Norman Castle and the Benedictine Abbey of Santa Maria di C\u00e0lena. From the sea it is possible to reach some pristine beaches such as: Calalunga, a strip of sand within a bay surrounded by woods, the bay of Manacora, the bay of Calenella, the bay of San Nicola and the bay of Sfinale. The stretch of coast from the bay of Sfinale to Vieste is full of beaches surrounded by luxuriant nature.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

VIESTE<\/strong><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Vieste is the largest tourist center in the Gargano and for its beaches with shallow and sandy bottoms it has been awarded the Blue Flag several times. It is a medieval village characterized by white houses and narrow alleys where there are shops, ovens and artisan workshops.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the boat you can admire the rocky coast and the sea caves that characterize this stretch of the Gargano coast. The symbol of the city is Pizzomunno,<\/strong>  the white tuff monolith that stands out imposingly <\/strong>on the beach known as Castello beach.<\/p>\n

The places not to be missed are:  Vignanotica<\/strong>  with the characteristic white stacks overlooking the sea, la  San Felice bay<\/strong>  a beautiful natural arch carved into the rock,  Closed fist<\/strong>  and the two stacks of  Bay of Zagare<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

During the boat holiday it is possible to spot and visit dozens of sea caves that fishermen have called with curious and original names such as: Grotta Sfondata Grande, Grotta Rossa due Occhi, Grotta Calda, Grotta Smeraldo, Grotta Campana Grande, the Grotta dei Serpenti, the Red Grotto, also known as the Magic Eye, due to the different shades assumed by the water.<\/p>\n
